"The Hubby officially retired 12/4/20 so we decided to purchase two new bikes for ourselves. At one Bike Shop we saw your Burley Children carriers. So when I got home looked online at your site for Pet Carriers for our fur-babies. Especially for our BenG who cries if he’s not with us (sheltered COVID pup new addition). The Tail Wagon is solid, rides smoothly and adds little strain on the human peddler (PapaG). We couldn’t be more pleased with your product. Top notch quality, easy assembly, easy connect/disconnect from bike. And it folds up beautifully to store. You thought of everything. Worth every dollar investment spent!"

Let the Adventures Begin!

"I started my trailer experience with a used off-brand one I found on Marketplace .. and years later decided to invest in a dog-specific trailer for my 9 year old border collie. I’m blown away by how smooth this trailer rolls .. how easy it is for my dog to load and unload. How comfortable she finds it — she got in and fell asleep inside the first night I had it at home. Love how secure it is, so I don’t have to buckle her harness in. We both love it and now we can go on long rides together and find a field and jump out to play before continuing our ride. She loves being part of my bike rides (as do I) .. this trailer is a win-win. Easy to collapse. Wheels pop on and off easily. Easy to clean. Fits through narrow doors with wheels off. Fits in the back of the Forester easily. **make sure your bike has the appropriate axle to accept the hitch for the trailer. Burley sells them for all sorts of axles. My Cannondale Treadwell has hooded dropouts so I needed the Coho axle. Now we’re good to go!"

The Burley Tail Wagon is

"The Burley Tail Wagon is high quality, and is easy to assemble and disassemble. The only mild difficulty is getting the bar frames snapped into position. My 25lb dog likes the wagon. I put his dog bed inside and he is very comfortable. It rides smoothly and the attachment to the bicycle is very secure. If you want to take your pet cycling, I highly recommend the wagon."

Dreamer’s Chariot

"Dreamer likes her little Chariot, but would like a cut-out in the front mesh so she could stick her head out. She is constantly pushing her snout against it. Other than that, the Tail Wagon is easy to use - and an outstanding addition to our gear!"

Dog can easily escape out the back.

"There is nothing to completely close the rear cover and the two little elastics are almost useless. My 60lb lab pushed herself out the back of the trailer with me only walking it around a parking lot. There is no way I'm going to ride on the road and risk my dog jumping out into traffic. Very disappointing to waste money on a premium trailer. With Burley's strict return policy, I can only hope to recoup some money reselling it now"

For small dogs and hardly a return policy :(

"It was a little difficult to put together as you need a bit of muscle strength for a couple parts. It seems like a nice dog trailer, but was tight for my 35 pound dog when it’s supposed to be for one up to 75 pounds. My dog hated it, so then I looked into returning it and they don’t take returns once they are put together. So now I am out $400 and will probably sell for $100 on Facebook or Craigslist. Horrible return policy if you ask me. Just tried it once on our driveway and now I can’t return it."

I have 2 Parson Russell Terriers ; one is 10 pounds, the other 16. Can they safely and comfortably ride together in one Tail Wagon ?: Yes, your two dogs can ride safely and comfortably in the Tail Wagon which has a max weight capacity of 75lbs. You can upgrade to the Bark Ranger if you'd like to add some more space for toys and/or other gear.
Hi, Is there a rain cover existing on the market for the new tail wagon? Is there a way to add a fanion/flag for visibility on this version?: Thanks for your question! We do not have a rain cover for the Tail Wagon at this time. The Tail Wagon comes included with a safety flag and should be inserted into the fabric sleeve on the right side of the trailer.
Can this be used on an electric bike at low speed?: Yes, Burley trailers can be used with e-bikes as long as the rider adheres to the recommended speed limits of 15 mph on smooth surfaces and 5 mph on rough surfaces or while turning.
Does the Tail Wagon have covers over the mesh windows to protect from the elements? If not, is the previous version with the window covers available?: Thanks for the question! The new version of the Tail Wagon is streamlined and no longer includes the plastic cover over the mesh. We do not recommend installing the older cover on the new Tail Wagon due to slight design differences.
Can you fit a kick stand to the 2022 Burley Tail Wagon: Hi! The 2022 Tail Wagon (forest green color) does not have a compatible kickstand.
